Cotfix D series - Economical Dyestuff for dyeing deep shades

COTFIX-D SERIES
A Special class of dyestuff exclusively for Exhaust Dyeing
Cotton Textile materials in the form of yarn, knit goods and small batches of woven fabric may seldom be dyed in continuous machines. Exceptionally dark and bright shades (some times dyeing impractical 20% depth) for striped yarn dyed shirts, suiting’s, bright dark hosiery fabrics and garments require a special economic class of dyestuff to avoid facing handling and processing problems. The high cost of production and troubles in reproducibility have become the routine problem of a dyer, when using normal Vinyl sulphone dyestuffs for very dark shades.
Nuchem Dyestuffs P Ltd has come out with an excellent solution to face out all the above problems. Cotfix-D is a special class of dyestuff with multifunctional chemistry that may exclusively be used for exhaust dyeing of dark and very dark brilliant shades ECONOMICALLY.

Important considerations required:
·         Sodium Sulphate calcined (Glauber’s salt) is available in more pure form than the Sodium Chloride and thus do not produce addition harness to water and reduces dyeing problems.
·         In case low liquor ratio and high circulation dyeing machines, electrolyte concentration should be decreased. Please the above tables.
·         If bath ratio is increased, e.g. in sample dye units, salt amount should be increased.
·         After  the  addition  of  salt  and  dye,  at  least  40  minutes  should  be  elapsed,  to  obtain  perfect  dye distribution and migration.
·         In case of high bicarbonate content of process water, final pH is around 10, 2-10, 4 which is very low for good fixation and shade repeatability. Optimum pH should be around 10,8-11,2. About 15 minutes after soda addition, 1-3 gpl NaOH is added in 15 minutes and continued dyeing 15 minutes more.

Cotfix-D series dyestuffs are robust and may be applied using any method of dyeing according to your fabric, machine and other available conditions.
A well prepared fabric or yarn (RFD) without core alkalinity or residual peroxide yields the best reproducible results.
Proper soaping off after neutralization is very important to get better wash and rubbing fastness. We never recommend for a cationic dye fixing treatment that may affect the tone and light fastness of the dyed goods. However make suitable decision according to the final requirement and other conditions of dyeing.
To get the maximum benefit out of Cotfix D series, do not mix the class of dyestuffs.
